It supports configurations such as a 24SFF bay (SAS/SATA) with optional 8SFF mid tray drives, plus up to 6SFF rear drive bay options, accommodating a total of 38 SFF drives. For those demanding high capacity, an 8LFF with Universal Media Bay (standard) is available, supporting 2SFF front drives, optional 8SFF mid tray, or 4LFF mid tray, and up to 4LFF rear or 6SFF rear drive bay options. Additionally, a 12LFF option with optional 4LFF mid tray and up to 4LFF rear allows for a total of 20LFF drives. This server supports up to an impressive 4TB max RAM per socket and enhances memory capacity with Intel Optane Persistent Memory 200 Series, allowing up to 6TB memory per socket (note: does not work with SGX). It features a 2 socket capability with 3 UPI @ 11.2 GT/s. Advanced RAS capabilities (except 8358P), AVX-512 2 FMA, and TME-MT 64 keys make this server a high-performance choice. The Speed Select Performance Profile processors ("Y") come with default values in bold, ensuring optimal settings for various applications. Note that the deterministic base frequency rating applies only to VM workloads, as other workloads may experience some throttling. While supporting Intel Speed Select Performance Profile (SST-P), this server does not include the "Y" processor. Single socket capability is offered even without the "U" processor, although dual socket support is not available. Please be aware that Intel Speed Select Technology - Base Frequency (SST-BF) and Sub-NUMA 2 (SNC2) are not supported. Default Speed Select Performance Profile values are included, and it's critical to select DIMMs in even quantities to maintain balanced memory configurations, which is essential for optimal system performance. Using an odd quantity of DIMMs can lead to unbalanced memory, potentially hindering system efficiency.
